Kitchen Sink Realism or Kitchen sink Drama. This movement started in British in the 1950s, especially in the field of theatre, art, novels, film, and television plays. The Protagonist or the Hero could be seen as an Angry young man. He was unhappy or disappointed with the present society. This movement represents the middle class or working-class society’s political, economic and social issues. The setting of these Kitchen sink Dramas is mostly Bedroom or in the House. The term “Kitchen Sink School” was coined by critic David Sylvester.
