The Black Art Movement

This movement began in 1965 and ended in 1975. The Black Art Movement was a group of Black Poets, Artists, musicians, dramatists and writers. Imamu Amiri Baraka considered the father of this movement. This movement resisted Western influences and presented black experience in new ways.
