Christina Georgina Rossetti
• Born - 5 December 1830
• English poet - wrote various romantic, devotional, and children's poems.
• Most famous poems - "Goblin Market" and "Remember" .
• Part of Pre-Raphaelite group
• She contributed to the literary magazine, The Germ, Under the pseudonym "Ellen Alleyne"
• Swinburne in 1883 dedicated 'A Century of Roundels' to Christina Rossetti.
• Rossetti's Christmas poem "In the Bleak Midwinter" became widely known in the English-speaking world after her death, when it was set as a Christmas carol.
• Her poem "Love Came Down at Christmas" (1885) has also been widely arranged as a carol.
• She died in Bloomsbury on 29 December 1894
